ABOUT ME

Lital Koropitzer, Psy.D.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with a successful track record of helping individuals navigate complex emotional landscapes to find healing and growth. I received my doctoral degree from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Irvine. I completed my predoctoral internship at Jackson Health System in affiliation with the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, and my postdoctoral residency (fellowship) at Kaiser Permanente San Francisco’s Chronic Pain Management Department. I have trained exclusively at American Psychological Association (APA) accredited programs. Over the years, I have had the pleasure of working with a wide variety of patients with a multitude of presenting problems.

Here are a few examples: Chronic pain and illness, self-discovery and personal growth difficulties, dating and relationship struggles, depression, anxiety, trauma (PTSD; physical, sexual, and emotional abuse), pre-transplant support, LGBTQIA+ presenting problems, transgender needs, HIV/AIDS troubles, grief, young adult life transitions, adjustment difficulties, mood disorders, personality disorders, and COVID-19 related stressors.

With a compassionate approach and a tailored methodology, I delve deep into the intricacies of your experiences, fostering a safe and supportive environment for change. I utilize an integrative approach grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), and other psychophysiological techniques.

 

I am here to teach you the skills you need to manage your emotional well-being and become your own therapist so that you can handle life's inevitable ups and downs long after therapy has concluded. Let's build your "Emotional First Aid Kit" together!
